Chrome strips

Featured Replies

Hi, has anyone fitted chrome strips on their Superbs, and if answer is yes, can you post pictures?

Im thinking of buying and fitting in interior, and exterior to look like Elegance.

I spoke to the dealers about doing this, buying the OEM parts....but its too expensive.

And I forgot if anyone fitted, do they easily peal off, and does them mind bad weather conditions ( like snow, havily rain and hot temperatures)?

Tnx for replys.

Don't do it... hard to imagine how it could look any good. The factory pieces are in two parts (the chrome is inlaid into a channel in the black plastic moulding) so anything aftermarket is going to look... well... "stuck on".

Hm, I didnt know that they are made from two parts, now it doesnt sound like a good idea.

What you think about fitting in window lip?

It is quite useful; on my car one of the strips was a little damaged and I managed to find just the original insert on ebay. Just clipped in.

I don't know about the window lip. I think if you can find some material which has a right angle in it it could be OK.

To be honest though I have edition 100 with chrome, every time I see one without it I think it still looks pretty good. I might try to get chrome mirror covers and the new style badges though! :)
