Possibly daft bluetooth question....

Featured Replies

This might be a daft question but I've searched the forums and couldn't find anything specific so here goes.....

I've just bought a March 2010 Yeti Elegance which has Bolero, the factory bluetooth kit and maxidot toys however I have two mobiles; one for work and one private. Both connect quite happily and work as I'd expect on their own but when they are both in the car I need a way to swap between them on the move and cannot see how I can do this without messing about with bluetooth on/off on the phones themselves.

I've seen references on here to a settings menu in the maxidot display that implies I can do this but all I've got under the phone selection is phonebook and calls listings, no settings, bluetooth, list of paired devices or anything remotely like it. I'd also like to change that awful standard ring tone too if possible!

Does anyone have any idea where I go from here? Do I just have an early Bolero/bluetooth/maxidot combination that I'm stuck with or is there a chance of a firmware/software upgrade that's been missed that would give me these options?

Any advice will be much appreciated.

Thanks,

GrumpyGit

Those settings should be there in maxidot.

I would ask a Skoda dealer to check for software updates to the maxidot/instrument cluster.

Also check for updates to the Bolero, if no bluetooth fix then you may at least get quicker SD card reading.

If you find that it is because of the bluetooth module, a newer one can be found on eBay for about £70.

They are just plug and play fitment and are located under the drivers seat.

ringtone can be changed in the coding on the bluetooth module
