Skoda Pricing

Featured Replies

Is it me or has Skoda gone completely mad with their pricing? Current models and new models alike; aren't they shooting themselves in the foot?

I've bought many Skodas over the years as they offered good reliable motors at a sensible and affordable prices.

The pricing of the new Rapid is desperate. What about new and used prices for the diesel Yeti and Octavia Scout - do people really pay these prices?

There's a demo Scout on AT for £25000! If had the brass I wouldn't be buying that, much as I like them!

The new Octavia will no doubt be priced the same. I envy anyone buying an Octy Blackline at the moment - a much better deal.

C'mon Skoda, I'm starting to look elsewhere!

I know what you mean about the Scout - I was told by Skoda dealer that they have stopped manufacturing them, which is why they are not available on VAT free too

Yes.

Especially when they offer bargain basement for trade in.

Well, a product is worth what someone is willing to pay and Skoda's sales are rising....

However, I think it may be time for Skoda UK to drop the 'VAT free' thing. If they run it for so long then it ceases to be an offer really. I presume the Rapid will also be on this offer - IMO the published prices seem high but if it is on VAT free it will be very good value indeed.

I drove a Fabia Scout TSI yesterday which comes in at around £11700 without the VAT, for which you get an estate car with a modern refined and efficient engine, ESP, 16in alloys, air con, electric windows front and rear, sunset glass and silver roof rails which I thought was a bit of a bargain to be honest.

It's the 2nd hand prices I see on the for sale section here that get me chuckling even more. People asking the thick end of 4 grand for 8 yr old Fabias that have been round the world 5 times, and then wondering why they can't sell them.
