Appologies if this subject has been covered before but I am a bit confused regarding my new (September 2012)Elegance Estate and the auto dimming exterior mirror function.

Whilst I apprieciate that the inside mirror does dim, is my model fitted with external mirror dimming ( the handbook suggest the facility exists but is it just a generic comment therefore covering all models ?).

The mirror glass does have a "border" as other posts have mentioned on similar post with respect to Superb models.

Is this function easily testable?

Any advise will be greafully received.

I believe its L&K only unless they have recentlt changed the speccs

I have it on my vRS aswell, might be just me, but it seems to only work on the drivers side and inside of course.

On my L&K both external mirrors auto dim. It's very obvious when they dim, so if they are fitted to your car you'd easily notice.
