Hey all, I did this today and as previous posts its only a ten minute job and well worth doing.

Thought I would post though to highlight that the locking clamps at the engine side are made of plastic and as I pulled one of the springs back the plastic arm fell apart :-(. After a hour of phoning around I managed to find a replacement (big thanks to psi tuning) and they only charged £5.

Now for the real problem.... Got the part home and went to fit it only to find out the diameter of the locating was to small ( so keep in mind there are different sizes everyone) with it only being a plastic part I have drilled the hole out and all seems fine now.

So my ten minute job infact took 3 hours, as many coffees and dribbling around a torch refitting parts at night :-(.

Can't stress enough though even with my problems this is well worth doing if your gears don't locate as smoth as they should :-).

Cheers Kenny. To be honest I was stressed and didn't dare drive the car till it was fixed and to make matters worse it was Friday and I had a early start Saturday :-(. Skoda don't even stock the part but oh we'll it's done now and good to see someone found the part numbers :-).

I snapped one of the fingers on mine too, Part number ends with a B is the larger one. I replaced both
