Paint code for standard silver alloys

Featured Replies

Does anyone know the name and code of the paint on the standard silver alloys please?

Had a tiny coming together with a kerb yesterday, annoyed is an understatement!

There may not be answer to your question...car manufacturers more often than not don't give a colour code to their wheel silvers.

From my experience the best solution is to go to your local automotive paint factor and ask them to match the colour.

It won't be a trial and error thing because they will be supplying paint to the wheel refurb guys and should know which of ,say, half a dozen silvers will give a match on your wheels.Don't bother with Halfords or eBay.

Maybe I'm wrong and your Skoda dealer can supply the right stuff, but I doubt it.

wheel refurb is about £30 there is only 3 shades of silver for alloys dark, medum, light. I scuffed my last car about 3in long on the rim wheel refurb came to my house took the wheel of broke the front of wheel seal put a large piece of card around the rim to protect the tyre done the repair job done. No need to balance as only one side seal is broke. £30

Thanks for that advice, mine's not worth a refurb at the moment, I'm sure it will be in the future though!

Do not let water get under the paint the alloy will start to go dusty/powder and the paint will peel
