Featured Replies

Well i bought this a while ago to diagnose a few faults, and to change a few things, i have since finished with it so somebody else can get use out of it as it is just sitting in my glovebox doing nothing!

This has the obd2 Socket head on it with a usb end!

Comes with the genuine cable and the Ross Tech Certificate!

Trev it may be worth pointing out what the KII-USB is suitable for, as it is not CANBUS compatible, so not suitable for ALL VAG cars.

It is also worth noting that the licence for support etc is non transferable when you sell an interface.

The Cable has never been registered so i was that it was transferable!

Looking into this deeper, when you buy them directly then do not need to be registered as they are done automatically (as mine was)

HOWEVER:

If you buy any of our
software activation is not required! VAG-COM will become fully registered / activated as soon as you test it on a car with one of these interfaces.

  • If you bought a Dongle Interface (such as a KEY-, HEX-, or MICRO- series) directly from Ross-Tech, you do not need to register it. You are already registered!

  • If you bought your Dongle Interface (such as a KEY-, HEX-, or MICRO- series) through a distributor you should to submit the
in order to become eligible for tech support.

So it looks like cables bought from Gendan etc need to be manually registered

Cheers for that!

So to confirm this unit has not been registered for support etc!

So the certificate is transferable!
