Alpine CDA-9831R

Featured Replies

Well it looks like this is the one I am getting... I have to get it from Halfrauds as I have some credit to spend :D

Any final thoughts before I buy it? Anyone own it? Or can I do better for the money?

Cheers

I'm sure Halfords do price matching. And I'm sure you can get that head unit cheaper from elsewhere... so do a price match before you buy it, and save even more

It is a very nice head unit. Have a look at the 9855 though... seems very popular at the moment.

Well personally I'd go for the 9853 which is

the alpine untis are very nice indeed, i just sold mine though

I have the 9830R. It is a very good set so go for it! The Green buttons go well with the display lights etc and you can change the colours on the 9831 so even better! The digital time correction function is spot on as well...

You got it yet?

I was always knew a decent head unit alone would improve the sound, but crickey, sounds excellent now

Standard speakers arnt up for much though, time for a lovely ice install me thinks :D

Any pics mate?

:wrthless:

I too have just fitted a new unit. I bought aerial booster for the hell of it. I was really impressed with how the speakers improved. Really quite good for OEM imo. The whole lot still need replacing though...

I did that, I also removed the airvents above to help.

The thing is I've got two sets of RCA leads, wiring from the remote that goes in to a switch panel in the slide out tray that has 5 extra wires coming back in to the cavity and a bass knob cable too. :( When I get round to it, i'll tidy it up properly :)
