Says it all in the title really.......... Is my trip computer maxi-dot, and how would I know?

It seems to have a lot of info. It can be set up with two separate trip records, showing time, miles, mpg etc. It has a speed warning, which I activated without even knowing I had done so!

So, is this Maxi-Dot? - Should add that its a late 2011 'S', but has some items which were not part of the basic 'S' spec. - like Dual-zone aircon and auto lights.

Sorry for the stream of noobie questions. Hopefully eventually I may be a net contributor of answers, not questions!

is there a black and white display between the rev counter and the speedo which shows, for instance, a pic of a car with a door open when the ignition is on and a door is open? If so, you've got maxi-dot AFAIK I think, but could be wrong, that it's standard on SE and above spec. It's basically a dot matrix computer display in B&W.

i have a black and white display but doesnt show up doors opening, radio stations etc......is this controlled by the headunit?? or am i being stupid here?? i seen a ans620 Bolero type unit on ebay at decent money nad i bought a similar one for the fabia i had before now buying 09 octy elegance 140cr so i was going to buy this again only its a newer version and shows maxidot display

Don't think so I too have a s spec 1.6tdi and if you don't have controls on the steering wheel and only on the window wiper stalk it is a trip comp not maxi dot

have a look at both as i was thinking of buying the ans620 one but i dont know if they will show up on maxidot display??
