skoda Roof bars

Featured Replies

Just got myself a set of yeti roof bars. Now i need copy of the instructions and fixing bolts.

can anyone help?

The 10 fixing bolts are available from your dealer. 2 at the front and 3 at the rear each side.

They are basically fit-and-forget.

Warning, they are not that easy to fit. They are easy to cross thread and you need a small headed Torx driver to fit them. Easiest would be to take the roof rails off first, but as they means taking the headlining out .............................

Bolts are a fairly specific ie thread type but 10 minutes to install once you have them. :) Be aware that the dealer should have two part codes on the system - one set in silver, one in black - get the right ones to match your roof bar colour as they stay in place permanently :)

The matching bolt/rail colour has been discussed before and I think that option has been dropped. Previous posts have suggested Skoda had an issue with the black bolts, so only silver ones are available.

It's fiddly to do as the face of the rail is angled towards the roof and there's not a lot of clearance if you use a ratchet drive as I did. I ended up putting a sheet of stiff card on the roof so I didn't scratch the paint. At least once on you can forget about them.

Any got any spare?

You can get away with just using 8, just chose which holes you want to use at the back.
