Hi everyone abit new to skodas, ive got a problem with my mk1 octavia vrs the speedo stopped working, the lads at skoda say the problem is a cog inside the gearbox that turns the vehicle speed sensor, but the only option is a new gearbox??

Welcome to Briskoda. Re your question, I seriously doubt you need a new gearbox. Not for that. You'd be better off and get more help if you posted your problem in th Mk1 Octy section, more people will see your problem in that section. Good luck, and welcome
