BT Microphone

Featured Replies

Hello, i have recently recieved my new vrs blackline estate, everything with it is briliant except one thing. There is no bluetooth car kit which was promised to me by the salesman several times. As i complained, the dealer gave his apologies but i need the phone kit for business. At an extra cost they said they can fit it for £300, i was not impressed but as i had already brought the car i had no choice. Anyway sent it in to skoda for the day and they fitted a microphone and as i can make out a bluetooth box, as i picked the car up it was literally just a bare kit controlled by the phone, not good enough. I said i wanted it through the navigation system and maxidot display as the salesman said it had when i brought the damn thing. Picked the car up from there again today everything working but people cant hear me, only just found out about this forum, could of saved me alot of time and money if i knew about it sooner, but ive now read how easy it is with the bt microphone and getting the bluetooth switched on. But can anyone tell mew hy no one can hear me on a call, is it because it is not a BT microphone?

Sounds like the garage has enabled the bluetooth but not fitted a mic. The Blackline does not have a mic fitted as standard. Stick a search in google and it is all explained on another thread on this site. Mic and wiring can be bought for about 40 quid. But as you were told the car was fitted with one to start with I'd try my luck back at the stealer. Good luck.

Look for my "how to"

I checked out your "how to" looks like great instructions but skoda already fitted a microphone by the interior light the first time they had it, but it looks different to the bt microphone shown in the instructions. So should it still work or do I need to replace it with the bt counterpart

The mic is hardwired to the headunit, I would ask your dealer what they have done complain.

Before i fitted my mic the blackline i cold answer a phone with the maxidot/ sat nav but nobody could hear me for obvious reasons as soon as i fitted my $35.00 microphone which took 1 hour it was brilliant. Sounds like the dealer is sticking to its rep by pulling wool over customers eyes if you where promised it you should of got it, shame.

I'm local to you, be glad to sort it out and get it working properly for you.

Got it back from skoda again tonight, for the third time, they've gone down the dension route now, there's a real bad echo when making calls, microphone is still on display, and cant get my phone book on the satnav display, had enough with them now. Tech1e if you don't mind I could do with your help please

Surely the stealer needs to sort this out???
