boosting late? Update, found code now unsure!

hey all. just a quick question, earlier tonight the engine management light came on my vrs, and its now boosting a bit later up the revs. it used to come on boost around 2/2.2k but now its about 3/3.5k any one got any ideas? ive got a fault code reader in the post, so hoping that will turn up tomorrow to read the code, but just wondered if anyones had this before? im new to vag, so any help would be great. cheers. Dan

Could be anything with out knowing the fault code. Post the code up once you have it. Then search the code on here :)

yeah, im sure i used to get the power at lower revs, now it comes a bit futher up the revs, if that makes sense? Any way to check the maf mate? Cheers for the replys!!

just unplug the plug on the top of the maf and see if it feels better if it does maf is playing up u will get a warning on the dash and when plugged back in it might not disappear if that happens just turn engine off and start up again light disappears it did with me anyways

well i got my fault code reader this morning and ran it through. the only code to come up was 17704 which from what ive read is cts?! ive just replaced that so i guess its onto the stat now!?

Im saving for a map by the rtech fellas as ive read nothing but raving reviews about these guys!

Might just be me being fussy about the way the boost comes on but does this sound about right for a mapped vrs?

2k (ish) can hear turbo spooling up

2.8/3k comes on really strong

On a plus not fitted my 007p today and it holds boost a lot better than the standard recirc valve previous owner left on.Cheers. Dan
