New to Skoda's, VRS owner

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I bought a 2006 octavia VRS yesterday and joined up to see what the Skoda community has to offer. I've not collected the car yet as I'm waiting for a private plate to be transferred, but really looking forward to the first drive home. The car seemed more than capable on the test drives and I'm keen to read about any info regarding stereo, interior spec upgrades. The car doesn't have as many 'toys' as the other makes and models of cars I've been looking at, but the engine brought a smile to my face that the others didn't.

Always been a ford fan until now and sadly parting with an ST24 I've had for 7 years. I tried, ST225's, 330i, 530i, Audi A4's, but overall the Skoda came out as best all rounder, so I'm hoping the VRS meets my expectations. Its got the power with the nice, subtle looks. I'm not a fan of wacky bodykits and bonnet scoops so the VRS sits nicely in my 'sleeper' catagory.

Looking forward to reading through the forum and meeting other members
