Have you used Tunit in your Skoda TDI? Does it work?

Featured Replies

There is a product called Tunit.

The manufacturer says it improves vehicle performance, specifically it's power and torque.

Average fuel savings of 12%.

Harmful emissions reduction by 27%.

Does this product perform as well as the manufacturer says?

The only comment I can make is that they have been in business for more than 10 years and have a very good reputation.

I have 'followed' them for at least 10 years ago and decided to take my car up for a tunit, rolling road and laptop tune on 13/12.

My opinion is that tuners concentrate on specific engine, such as 1.9/ 2.0tdi and 1.8t/2.0tfsi and build up their knowledge past stage 1 remap.

If you car is not on that list I think a sophisticated digital tuning box, (laptop) tuned for your car is as effective than a stage 1/ generic remap.

That is only my opinion!!!

Thanks for your reply john_y!

I have not seen anything online about this company, like articles, or someone who bought the product sharing info about how well this product performs, or if it's doing it's job at all. On the other hand I have not seen any negative write ups either! Just wandering since the company has been around for many years why there is little to find online from users of this product??? Wanted to be sure before buying it for my Skoda!

Hi,

Well I did have an appointment for a tunit but they cancelled.

I was going to visit them mainly for the laptop fine-tune but they advised on my car it wouldn't make a huge difference compared to the standard settings.

I decided to take it elsewhere.
