Heading to MIJ!

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Next weekend I'm off to MIJ for a custom exhaust. I've had a couple of systems off them and they've been excellent. Very polite and knowledgeable team.

My question is, I'm thinking of getting the full sport set-up from the cat back. This consists of a tube, straight to the backbox with no center boxes or silencers between the cat and backbox.

The system will be 2.75".

Could there be any potential running issues with a straight through exhaust to the backbox. I know NA cars do not like this due to a drop in back pressure.

What car is it for? I'll be interested in your opinion of them as they are one company Im considering currently. :)

I have heard a few stories many from ex customers about their work, from the fitting to the exhaust quality one to be very careful off.

I would suggest looking at a Milltek or piper. It will work itself out in the long run.

Hi guys, I appreciate the feedback :)

I have had exhausts off them before, and have found their quality to be good. Never had any fitment or alignment issues either. I have read things about them, both positive and negative. However, it appears every company has good and bad reviews.

They are well regarded on a couple of forums such as Vec-C. My personal experience is that they build good quality systems and are very knowledgeable and professional. :)

Yeti-man, the car is an 06 mk2 Octavia vRS TFSI.
