advice needed......

Featured Replies

hiya peeps.

quick one for you today.lol.

i want to get the "flick" type key that you find with most VWs and audis, and i believe on VRS? can your tell me what frequency it says on your VRS key fob?

as i think on my seat ibiza it is 433mhz.

i assume the alarms systems and immobilisers are the same?

reason i ask is that there are some 433 mhz and some 434 mhz fobs in the VAG range.

anyone with some advice on this?

thanks in advance

I have a Fabia vRS (05) and I've looked all over both fobs, and the key numbers and can't find a frequency anywhere. Sorry! :o

433 MHZ

I've supplied and programmmed two flick keys and remotes for Tom (toxxin) before and both were bought from SEAT.

They work out around

You could get a remote but would still have to key the key cut.

no

434MHz is a PMR band allocation in the UK (police radios etc.), so not only would the fob not work, you could technically end up before the Beak for using it, I think. The UK ones are 433MHz as this is a 'free' band for short-range radio...

I'd avoid ebay on this occasion!

I know that this reply is inordinately late, but one of my skoda keys, has a green disk under the battery which amongst other data proclaims 434 MHz.
