misfire on cold start

Featured Replies

My vrs has started to do this nearly every time on cold start,it's had 4 new coils as part of the sort of recall, new plugs fitted last month, throttle body cleaned and reset, sai system deleted and mapped out,has been doing it on and off since February, but it's doing it nearly every time on cold start, doesn't use a drop of water,so have ruled out coolant getting in to pistons and causing it to misfire until it gets burnt off,had it on vag com and no codes come up,only thing I can think of is leaky injectors or coil pack wiring, but if it was coil pack wiring would it not show up as a misfire? Also has had new coolant temp sensor.

What plugs were fitted? Has the fuel filter been changed. Could be the wiring...what condition is it in?

Was the coolant sensor an original Skoda part or pattern?

Plugs are ngk bkr7e I think, because it's got a stage 2 map I fitted a hotter plug, coolant temp sensor is a genuine one, fuel filter was changed about a year ago,the problem only really started after the coils, coolant temp sensor were changed,it was only intermittent until about a couple of weeks ago, but now it's happening nearly every cold start, only thing I haven't done is a compression test, but once the misfire clears, usually after 3 seconds it runs sweet as a nut.

I thought BKR7e is a colder plug which is why my car likes them due to the LPG prefers cooler plugs. What gap do you have them at?
