Rear Seat Covers

Featured Replies

I'm embarking on a drive to Germany at xmas with my daughter in law and two messy brats, i would like to protect the rear seats against spills, child seats and general disrespect for someone elses car. Any ideas where i could buy some for a 2012 Elegance Estate. Thanks

I bought a cheap set of car seat covers with the intention of sticking them on to protect from sand during a summer beach holiday. It will vary by design but I found that the amount of fitting and cutting around each seat belt buckle and head restraint meant that any mess just ended up down the cuts. I'd be happy to hear if anyone's found something better. If you do go down that route then I'd recommend covers on the front seats as well, if their feet can reach the back of your seat.

I've used Prince Lionheart Two Stage seat savers under the car seats in mine (and a Golf with leather) and found they work brilliantly to protect the seat from indentations and they have a raised lip around the base which catches a lot of the mess.

I'm always amazed at how well the back cleans up after my messy brats have tried their best to knock £1,000's of the resale price.

I use an old duvet cover - again have 2 kids and like to protect the seats especially during the holiday season. Only covers the seat bases and works a treat.

I agree with Coops. A fibre filled duvet , punch a couple of holes in them for the seat belts (not feather filled as they will fly everywhere). Get a King size and the kids will be able to wrap up it.....may even sleep.
