Gear Change Issue (NEW)

Previously, I asked if it was possible to reset the gear linkages as I sometimes have problems getting various gears on the first time. Some people posted youtube links which were helpful but sadly the gear stick and gear stock are not the same as my Octavia SLX. For example I cannot find the hole on the gear stick to lock it into the home position and there is no lock key to put the gear stock into the home position. Further to this, there is no way that I can see of adjusting any slack on the gear cables as you can see from the images attached. Does anyone know a way round for this? Thanks.
