Hi iam new to the site and also new to my octavia vrs 3 days ago so far iam loving it evrything i need from the power to the practibility of it being an estate , i do have a few niggles (sorry if iam not allowed to post them on this bit but i cant start a topic on the tech page?) i currently have no rear wiper washer works but wiper doesnt,no central locking working on the tailgate and no number plate lights despite relevent fuses showing ok ? also its got a k@n cone air filter makes a nice noise but am i ok running it with this on ?back wiper the main issue at the min due to it being an estate its sucks up salt quickly and i cannot see out of the window :-(

Rear wiper may need a new motor, it could have been damaged due to the rear washer pipe leaking. The same for central locking, sorry.

If you got warranty with your car take it back to them and ask them to sort it, if not find a good local to you auto electrician and get him to have a look obviously if this is the problem the washer pipe needs fixing first.

This may sound daft but is it an earthing problem on the tailgate as you sem to have 3 things not working and all of them are on it- just seems a coincidence.
