Has anyone got a Apr map

Featured Replies

Has anyone got a apr map on octavia vrs?

If so any good?

I really liked mine... I only changed due to the whole awesome falling out with them and pushing them out thing

Im sure it was more agressive than my revo

You wont regret it mate.... And apr stage 2 was very cool :)

Go for it i say ;)

You can get a 6hr free trial from an APR dealer. I had one, felt very linear, best way to describe it is standard style power delivery but with a massive kick :)

I had one, but wasn't too impressed with it TBH. Quite aggressive, and wasn't particularly smooth. Went to Shark, and haven't looked back. :-)

I had the APR trial years back. Felt OK.

Went with Shark in the end as they will customise any aspect of the map for you and they are very proactive.

APR maps are known to have a flaw on them. Something to do with a checksum error popping up. Jay and Andy told me about it on their cars I think.

The two main players are Shark and R-Tech, so I'd stick to them if I were you.

Mikko spent hours fine tuning my map on Shark's RR. He described it as "perfect" once he'd finished. I'd totally agree with him. Never surges, no flat spots, always smooth and bags of torque.

I was told by an APR dealer hat the checksum adult has long since been fixed/removed :)

As said mine was nice :)

And never a light :)

Better than my Revo stage 2 :(

I think lol

got a custom r tech map here stage 1+ on rr gave me 211bhp with just induction kit dv and cat back exhaust cant recomend them highly enough and the price 250 notes dont think u will find better value than that for a custom rr map

Just got the APR 6 hour trial put on mine last week. I find it very driveable and love the torque you get. Great for over taking and I get an extra couple of mpg also. Gonna be gutted when it runs out. If you have cruise control fitted you can use that to pick one of 4 maps and also an anti theft function where it can't be stolen even with the keys.

Same here, couldn't believe how much time Ben and Mikko were prepared to put in to perfecting it. My car must have been on the dyno for about 5 hours over a few weeks. Can't see APR doing that.

Also, just be aware that when the APR trial map reverts to 'standard', it doesn't revert back to the factory map; It goes to APR's representation of the stock map, which seems to be a toned down APR map. Might cause issues with insurance if they ever do an ECU code dump.
