Hi guys

The other day I turned down the volume on the car stereo while listening to music (on the microSD card) on my PID. An odd thing seems to have happened. The PID is acting as an additional speaker - all the time.

This has only just happened. Now I know if I disconnect the PID it does have it's own speaker and it will continue to play music itself. However, normally it doesn't do this once docked. It's volume stays fixed so if you turn stereo down the PID is louder than the car speakers... and sounds terrible. The volume button on the PID is disabled once docked. If you disconnect it, it becomes available and I can turn it rught down or mute it. Once docked, it goes right back to how it was.

Anyone got a clue how to sort this so the PID doesn't ruin my music listening pleasure?!

Halp! I have a long drive ahead of me. :(

Try resetting the unit if you have already tried all other options of volume adjustment. It worked for me when I had a problem trying to hear the sat nav announcements.

Okay, cheers. I'll try giving the reset ago when I get round to looking at the manual.

You can change the volume of the sat nav voice independantly from the music volume. You simply turn the volume dial while the sat nav gives out an instruction.
