You might have to tilt your head a little lol

Handbrake seems very good

Off to Australia ?

I'm sure it goes quicker in that direction.

What variant? I have the TDI CR 105.

I didn't follow any particular running in schedule - just drove it. I noticed it "freeing up" around 5000 miles.

I get an average 50mpg, my driving style (and more importantly where I drive) mean I won't get much better.

Niggles - avoid pot holes like the plague (I can't always - narrow country lanes, 2 way traffic).

Everything else is great!

Likewise Monte TSI 86 and just driving her as normal, other than avoiding exccessive revs. Aprox 400 miles coved in the first week :giggle:

Oh shes also currently on 15" alloys and 195/55 Avon winter tyres; have proved their worth this last week.

It's the tdi 105. Thought that was the only one they did in a Monte? Am I wrong?

In the UK there are five engines to choose from;

1.2 HTP 12v

1.2 TSI 86 & 105

1.6 TDI 75 & 105

Well I never knew that!

Despite modern engines not needing a run in I drove mine less than 3000 RPM for the first 2000 miles, mine also freed up around 4000.

One thing I would point out is the stereo maybe pretty awful at first but it does actually bed in quite nicely so give it a little time.

I average 60 MPG out of my 105 TDI CR, I regularly achieve 65-70 on a couple of journeys I do, although those figures have taken a big hit with the cold weather!

Hope he enjoys it!

my gf has the 1.2 105bhp model, its acually pretty nippy about town. could do with a bit more ooomph and another gear for motorway running.
