making changes to a new car order

Featured Replies

I placed an order for a citigo 2 weeks ago but I have been thinking about adding sunset glass. Can I still make this Change or is it to late?

Cheers guys

It's always worth a try. If you can't, you can always have the windows tinted after you've got it

Only your dealer can tell you, because when you ordered is irrelevant.

What's important is when it's due to be built.

They can't change the order a certain number of weeks before it's built, which only the dealer will know.

Oh, it'll be nice to see another Citigo around Chelmsford too. :)

I asked the salesman and he said he didn't know off hand but would find out when the manager was back in on monday.

Richard your in Chelmsford what a coincidence.

my dealer said (like bossfox said) that you can change spec, UP TO the build date..... the dealer should be able to sort that for you.

Yeah he got back to me looks like you have a month or so to make changes, I hope I don't think of anything else.

What did you go for, car and spec?

I changed my Octy order a few weeks after ordering. As people have said its more about build date than order date for changes.

Just be wary adding any options that may delay your order (I was lucky with my Octy as its eol whilst the Citigo is still new and may suffer some shortages)

My citigo didn't have sunset glass.

I did a deal with the salesman and he had the back windows tinted for £100.

It's not factory but is VERY dark and was on when the car was delivered to me.

It has limo black so it takes a little practice to reverse in the dark...............

I went for an elegance 60hp in 5 door, with entertainment pack, city safe, and now sunset glass. In red.

That would annoy me as I park in a garage

Smart.

The sunset glass really sets off the red well.

It's what I've got. :)

I have it on a new Focus and didn't ordered on SWMBO's Citigo. Not too keen on it at night when reversing and setting off (checking over shoulder for blind spot). Visibility is reduced quite badly with it - IMO.

On the plus side you never have to dip your rear view mirror as it is good at filtering out bright headlights behind you :)
