Auto Glym wheel brush scratches

Featured Replies

just incase knowone reads my other thread....here is the result after a quick test(sorry no pics)

washed my alloy today with some MC2 soapy water and my new auto glym wheel brush.

left it to dry and with the sun shining on it it showed up scratches. wasnt sure if they were already there so washed only one spoke again and paid attention to where existing scratches were.

to my horror, twice as many little scratches  luckily they need refurbed anyway!

Had exactly the same when I used them on my old Octavia alloys with the autoglym brush - dont use it anymore

not surprised, ah well back to looking for a decent brush

Halfords own brand wheel brush is exactly the same design but with softer bristles. As long as you get plenty of your chosen cleaning product on the muck first it will come off fine. No scratches.

(OMG was I just endorsing Halfords?)

I went to b&Q and bought a soft hand brush (the type with a dustpan) to do my wheels, i aint seen any srcatches yet.

Wonder wheels brush is excellent....just like a glorified pastry brush!!!!!:D
