Thanks re Ebay suggestion.

Guess its 'just' an oil filler cap, but didn't fancy a new leaky as well as an old leaky cap if folk had bad experiences with ebay ones.

Try Http://www.skodaparts.com/ they sell a genuine one for about six quid.
