Just wondering.......Wife as asked me if the car comes before march the 1st which it will by about 2 or 3 weeks do we have to register it or is it our choice to wait for a 13reg on the 1st of march.

We ordered it 19 weeks ago so another few weeks wont mind........

Just thinking if the dealer wants it for a febuary sale......or is it our choice

It will depend on the dealer.

They may be able to do that. Ask them.

Its possible they need that sale and Registration in February.

If you pay for the car in February when it is ready for delivery,

then you are prepared to wait to have it registered, then there really is no reason why they should not.

Enjoy your car when you get it.

Ours was ordered on the understanding (in writing) that we paid and collected it within 2 weeks of it being available from the dealers. I suppose there is a little leeway depending on the dealer. On our car we were in no rush and hoped it arrived after the '62' plate date in Sept, which it did.

I purposely delayed ordering, knowing it was around a 12 week wait at the time to get the Sept delivery. It took nearly 14 weeks so

No harm in asking the dealer to delay, depends as said if they want rid quickly.

If you have bought it on the VAT free deal/offer then I believe that the dealer has to register the car within a week of receiving it. This used to be stipulated by Skoda to stop dealers ordering additional cars with the 20% discount price (may have changed now though)

There is no VAT free deal on any Citigo.

It depends on the dealer. I always say I don't want it before a certain date the new plates come out, so that's put on the order form to stop Skoda moaning if it's not registered for three weeks.
