Hi all,

I'm picking up my ex demo Octavia VRS at the weekend. Was originally going for a Laurin and Klement but took a VRS out for a test and it blew me away.

I have a - hopefully daft - question though, if anyone can help. I'm wondering where the 12V socket is as I'll need to connect my TomTom? Do I need to get a extra long power cable in preparation? (As far as I know my new motor hasn't got the smokers pack installed if that makes any difference).

There should be a socket by the handbrake - it's just not got the cigarette lighter thing in it - just a plastic plug instead. No idea about where to connect your Tom Tom though.

As said, the socket is by the handbrake. I use it for my Tom Tom, and the cable is plenty long enough. Enjoy your car:)

Yep, next to the entral locking button. If it helps the socket is more or less directly in line with the front of the release button on the tip of the handbrake lever. I've had loads of help so feel free to post questions in the Octy II section for your vRS. someone will no doubt have the answer

welcome,i have hard wired my garmin into the fuse box (on the right hand end of the dash) was very easy to do as i didnt want the wires trailing along the dash.
