Switched live

Featured Replies

I want to fit a charger in my 2009 VRS on a switched live feed. The fag lighter is permanent live, any suggestions on where to get a feed from easily? I'm thinking whatever my Parrot Bluetooth hands free (dealer fitted for the previous owner) attaches to is probably a sensible plan unless anyone has any better ideas, is the parrot likely to have been tapped in to the power supply for the Bolero radio or is there an extra supply back there for auxiliary stuff?

I used a spade connector into an empty spare fuse socket ;)

I went down the piggy back fuse route, used the one for the windscreen washer. Been there nearly 2 years now with no issues

The Tyre pressure monitor switch has a switched live going to it, thats what I used.

Cheers folks, hadn't thought about going straight int o the fuse box, that's probably going to be easier to get at than taking the radio out.

On my 2010 car I powered my garmin via a spade connector pushed into a redundant fuse socket, worked fine.

This is another solution that you could use: http://www.ebay.co.u...&_qi=RTM1089355

You are a legend I was driving about in a bus today thinking to myself surly such a thing as in your link must exist on Ebay, then forgot about it until I clicked the above.
