sunglasses holder

Featured Replies

Hi All,

Ddoes anybody have the part number for the sunglasses holder in the monte carlo with the dark roof. Spoke to the dealer and they reckon you can only get one if fitted at time of order.Any help appreciated.

have a search on this forum, there's a guide.

Thanks for that link, was after a black one for my vrs... I assume that's the right one for my car too...?

That eBay shop is Rainworth Skoda in Mansfield. If you are in any doubt give them a ring - if you tell them your registration they will make sure that you get exactly the right colour as there are a few different shades of beige/grey. I got mine from there. Very quick and easy job -literally seconds to install.

Makes you wonder what some dealers have between their ears! If I was the parts manager at a stealership I'd make sure all salesmen knew what could/couldn't be done. It's all revenue to them after all.

I fitted the black one to my vRS. As Greenstripe says speak to them and they should get you the correct one, they did for me.

Thanks for the replies. I have looked at the ebay link and the compatabilty checker say that it does not fit the fabia 2012 can someone please confirm that they do.

I emailed them my reg no, waiting for a second reply. I have a sunroof so just wanted to check it would still fit. Drop them an email, they get back pretty fast.

Give them a ring and they will give you a definitive answer -their phone number is: 01623 623400

For anyone who wants to add this, buy the part yourself, it's cheaper. Cost me about £13.50 but in the fabia brochure think it's something like £25. but then again most of the optional extras' prices have increased tremendously

Well mine was in the office waiting for me this morning so decided id take a look at removing the blanking plate as ill call it in the roof... however rather than just a bit of plastic coming off, there seems to be a black box with a crap load of wires attached to it mounted on the blanking plate... no idea what it is or if it can be transplanted to the sunglasses holder yet, need more light.

I'll try and post a pic, but if anyone has any ideas what it might be? The only other thing going on up there is the factory sunroof... i dont think i have bluetooth so dont think its that.

That's your alarm sensors, they just unclip and clip on to the sunglasses holder.

Have a look at this;

Life saver! exactly as per that post... just unclips. On a side note though, it is a tight fit with the sunroof motor in there too to get the alarm wire positioned so its not squashed against the motor... but apart from that, was job done in 2 mins.

Thanks!

(unfortunatly my oakleys dont fit perfect... but ill worry about that later :wall: )
