  1. How are the regen paddles on the steering wheel on the Enyaq? On the Audi E-Tron I find them a waste of time personally and leave the car on auto an let it decide the amount of regen based on sensors and Sat-Nav
  2. Well aware of A2DP, aptX etc. The OP didn't want the hassle of conversion. Was offering up possible workarounds using current set up. Personally I'm not sold on super high bit rates and 'High Res Audio' - they are absolutely no guarantee of sound quality, that said compression algorithms can colour the sound and alter the focus of music (typically enhancing the bass with MP3), If OP is doing 'homework' for production / mastering in the car then this might be important. I've never found listening to music in any car to be what I would consider to be an audiophile experience.

Not Tesla: My car theoretically supports 120KW charging - personally I've not found anything over 50KW on any of my travels so far (not that I've done a huge amount of travelling in the last year). 50KW is good enough for a lunch stop to pretty much fully charge the battery in 50 mins or so. One thing I have found is that if there are 2 chargers next to eachother and both are in use then you will never see anything like the quoted 'up to figures' as the load on the infrastructure will need to be reduced. Motorway service stations do charge massively over inflated costs and more so for charging at a faster rate than even at the same station from the same company, for example Typically: Ecotricity who have the monopoly on motorway services have units that usually have three plugs - CCS. Type 2 and Chademo (Nissan) You'll pay more for charging from the CCS because it charges at a higher rate in theory. I find charging advertised charging speeds very much like old school internet 'promises'. I generally try and avoid Ecotricity if I can, they are often only partially functioning if at all and can sometimes take many attempt to get the charging process to initiate. I have found Instavolt and Shell recharge to be more relaible so far. For the most part I do all my charging at home from the PodPoint that I have installed in my garage, and following best practice recommendations I use a little charge a little: charging the car a couple of times per week and maintaining a charge between 50/80% - only charging to 100% when I know I'm going to need it Please see attached pricelist of Audi tarrifs and how they compare with domestic tarrifs, obviously sometimes it is cheaper to use my Audi charging card at public charging stations and sometimes cheaper to pay the charging company direct.   4. Do you have Bluetooth and are you able to stream from your mobile phone, or use headphone out/aux in? If you're really not prepaired to settle, swapping out the stereo for an aftermarket unit isn't too diifcult.

  7. It's a complete wholesale rip-off of the BMW i3: Their interior trim themes are called 'Interior Worlds' and come in 'Loft', 'Lodge' and 'Suite'
  8. I installed Hive myself and found it pretty straightforward. I already had a (non-smart) wireless thermostat so replacing the receiver and transposing the wiring was easy enough.   9. Raiding the options lists is always expensive and rarely make that much sense from a financial point of view as it generally does not add anything to the resale value. A lot of vehicles will be supplied as standard spec. vehicles no options, to be consumed by fleet etc or consumers that aren't that bothered about adding extras or are in a hurry and will get a vehicle already in the system rather than a factory order. The same car (mechanically speaking) built in the same factories from the same parts by the same people. How else do you cut the ticket price other than and make the same margin other than removing features? I don't buy in to the belief that VW brands are independent from each other and that there is some sort of internal competition (other than in their respective marketing departments), and if people want to buy the same car with the same build quality and the same features they're going to end paying pretty much the same price. I think that Skoda isn't really the value brand it once was, say 10 years ago, the consumer is demanding more and more, which has pushed up prices significantly.

  11. Looks like a very ammatuer modification- I hope that it isn't just a spade connector jammed in to a fuse slot! Is it possible to pull out and see if anything stops working, It may be that whatever it was connected to was removed before you got the car.
  12. I stand corrected - was thinking of Lada re the old Fiat designs - now part of Renault group. Still the old stigma exists whether or not it is correctly founded. You see more old Skodas around than you do contemporary British Leyland Group cars
  13. Comparing apples and oranges there a bit - the ID.3 1st edition has a lot of extras on it that when you add them to the base spec Enyaq bring them pretty close in price. But then you are on a Skoda forum asking why a vehicle with a Skoda badge is cheaper than one with a VW one. I would say a large part of it is 'perceived value' People still look down on the Skoda brand even though the current brand bears very little resemblance to how it was before VW took over and they were selling cars based on 1950's Fiat designs in the early 1990s
  14. How low do you let the charge get before you re-charge? The calibration may have gone out of whack. Also do you always charge the battery to completely full? does the manufacturer only recommend that you charge to 100% when going on a long journey and the rest of the time charge to 80% or so?
