vRS wouldnt start this morning

Featured Replies

ok so ive had a few issues with starting as of late. battery im guessing is on its way out as i believe its the original akuma one. My fabia is a 2006 '56' plate. im stuck in work and the car is outside the house so i cant go check codes etc.

now ive read http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/227335-replacing-the-battery-on-a-late-mark-1-fabia-vrs/ which seems to suggest that i should go for the 027 battery is this right for my car? it has the heat wrap around the battery i know but as im not off until wednesday, and my dad has said if needs be he can pick a batery up for me id rather get it sorted today if possible.

i was thinking of going for http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/p/accessories-car-batteries/car-batteries/most-popular-car-battery/027-car-batteries/?444770278&0&cc5_997

I've got a 2007 Fabia vRS and it also had a 027 as standard (61ah Akuma). I replaced it at the weekend with a 096 Bosch Silver 77Ah, it fitted the tray etc all fine, I just had to extend the head wrap slightly with cable ties.

The car starts a lot faster.

cheers for the reply

ive opted for the 027 exide as in the post from ecp as we get the cheeky 23% discount and it was the best rated on their. mine has the heat wrap as the one in the post does even though its a '56 so hopefully fingers crossed that all it is
