heater issue

Featured Replies

today for some reason when i turn on the heating in the car only the passenger side vents blow out hot air and the drivers blow cold can anybody shed some light on this ?

Similar problems seem not uncommon. I had heating/ ventilation issues with mine and ended up with a couple of sensors being replaced under warranty. One of my issues was that the passenger side was always much colder than the driver side, even when both sides were set to same temperature.

Sarge.

The air is directed by numerous different flaps, all powered by little electric solenoids.

Sounds like you have a duff solenoid, a blown fuse or it may simply be a case of needing to reset the Climatronic.

Or one of the temp sensors in the ducting behind the radio/under the top dash storage box has fallen out. One of mine did and the climatronic went very erratic.

similar problem happened to me, didnt know what the problem was for a while, until i got it checked out, had to change the fuse. best price i found was with eberspacher sales, id take a look on there see if they have what you need they do prety much everything fuses and ducting etc hope this helps you (:
