My 1st three days of ownership

I picked up my Yeti 1.8 elegance on Wednesday. It`s silver on a 61 plate with 8000 miles and it`s my first experience with Skoda although i`ve had a few VW so same thing i guess.I initially drove 50 miles to see the car and for a test drive but when i arrived conditions were poor due to a blizzard of snow so agreed a deal on the car without driving it but having read many reviews i knew it would be fine.Just have to convince the wife now after the past three cars being auto that going back to a manual was the right thing to do.Certainly for me but she still hasn`t driven it yet.I ordered some Conti 830s on the Friday and they arrived on Tuesday, well 3 of them arrived with the one that was missing turned up on Friday and now all fitted.Seems that somebody was keen to try out their artistic skills last night and carved the letter C on the back of the car which was nice of them. And to top it all off on a journey to my favourite vino shop today after parking my 9 year old daughter opened her door onto a signpost outside said wineshop

So is this car jinxed or am i just unlucky

Could be jinxed lol, that's some really bad luck.

My first car was a little red fiesta I loved it, I'd only had if for a week and I parked on the road side where I used to live and they had them silly little speed bumps, that are bolted down to the road, I had gotten out of the car just stepped into the house, then the neighbour came knocking on the door saying someone had hit my car.

I ran out there expecting to see a car in the front end of my new little fiesta, but instead of a car it was a huge trailer which had gone over the speed bump unhitched from the car and the prop part of the trailer was embedded into the engine.

Needless to say I was devastated but to make matters worse the trailer didn't have a registration plate on the back and the driver drove off. And no one who saw it happen decided to look at the reg.

I feel your pain marmac, but just stick with the yeti they have a tendency to put a smile on most drivers faces.

Get them repaired and just think to yourself it could have been a lot worse.

Chin up!

Well Dinski between your story and my drinking of wine it doesn`t seem so bad now.I had a quick look at the door earlier and it had just caught the edge of the door and only a tiny scuff that`s hardly noticeable. The C on the boot on the other hand seems quite deep but will see if a proper detail will polish it out as i don`t think it is down to the metal. My post was ment to be about my initial impressions of the car and it ended up about my bad luck but always someone worse off so i am just going to try to enjoy the car

Yeah I'm sure it will come out and if not you can always do what bluecar1 said and get someone like chipsaway mobile service to come and sort it, they usually do a free quote too.

Give us a full report on here after a month or so, then you can tell us how much you love your new car! :)
