Activating voice control on Columbus HU.

I have a 2012 Columbus head unit and an OEM Bluetooth kit so I expected to be able to use voice control for the Columbus. However, when I go to the set up menu the option for activating voice control isn't there. Is there some other hardware I need or do I perhaps just need some VCDS magic to get voice control to work. Thanks in advance.

    Thanks for that. If I'm not in navigation mode it just says tells me that I'm not using navigation; if I am using the navigation IIRC it just repeats last instruction. Car's in for service in a few weeks so I'll speak nicely to the garage and see if they will activate it via VCDS.
