Nice clean Octy

Featured Replies

Used the break in the weather to clean the Octy.

Looks the business all snow foamed and washed.

Wimped out on Collinite though as a bit too cold.

Did get collared to clean the in-laws XJ6 and Mini though (they have an outside tap when I don't).

pics or it didn't happen! :D

Really needs a good claying and going over. But miles better than what it was.

Another Clean

Mine, obviously the one I spent the most time on.

As I say really need to get some Collinite on it now, hopefully will be an opportunity in the coming month.

Also need to get some stick residue on the drivers door sill (think it's some adhesive from when they put the kick plates on) - any ideas of the best approach?

SWMBO has now commented how it's just her Fiesta that is dirty now, so if it's dry next weekend that's what I'll be up to.

post-25521-1359301066387_thumb.jpg father in law's Jag.

Was just pressure washed, snow foamed, pressure washed & dried (he was helping and was losing interest).

Being black still shows a lot of marks.

Was going to use some Megiaurs Last Touch to try and get rid of some of them but he'd already moved to make way for the mini.

Looks good. No tyre gel though :p

I would advise something like AS Tardis if you have some, that removes tar, glue and many other items after application..........;)

Your Octy looks very nice and shiny!!

You need to get your hands on that Jag and give it a proper going over. For a start those exhausts are looking dirty/tarnished and even from that distance you can see the painwork isn't brilliant. Partly down to the colour probably as you say.

Also used the break in the weather to get the salt off and give it a going over.

Meguirs paint restorer, meguirs 2nd step polish and then finised with Autoglym Liquid Hard wax (very very easy to apply and buff off):

Took some metal polish to these too:

Made sure I hosed off all underneath the car too to get rid of all the salt.

It would definitely make a good project. But he was just interested in getting the worst of the grime off.

Got round to doing SWMBO's fiesta. She even helped. Here she is CG Wheel guarding the alloys.

Few tar spots on it but bar a few stone chips and one touch up we know about from when we bought the car all is good.
