Front Fog lamp replacement

Featured Replies

Some debris has smashed my front foglamp and I need to replace it.

1/ Anyone know an approx cost ?

2/ Is it just a plug in fit or will it need coding into the cars ecu ?

Presumably the lamp unit can be got at easily to remove it the same way that I would replace a bulb, or would the bumper need to be removed ?

Anyone know ?

Replaced the same way as when you take out to change a bulb.

Simply unplug the DRL and Fog connections (can't remember whether there are 1 or 2, could be just 1), then swap the bulbs over into the new unit and replace.

Can't help on a cost though? Try a forum sponsor.

Won't need any coding.

EDIT: some on the Bay of E for around £45

Thanks Bill, but I already know how to do it, having replaced DRL bulbs many times whilst trying to find suitable LED replacements.

Thx guys, all very helpful. I had a look at the ones on ebay but they don't appear to be the dual lamp versions like on the latest cars. I will try one of the sponsors

sorry coops

Just another quick Thx to say all now done and dusted. I got the lamp from a main dealer in the end as it was the same price as the others. One of the easiest lamps to fit for any car I reckon. Job went like a dream.

Sadly the paintwork on the bumper is quite scratched and its not completely cleaned it up after a thorough T cutting, but it is better than it was but not bad enough to justify an insurance job.

Glad its sorted Pesmog

Surprised you didn't have more success with the T-cut. When I scratched my 300C, it did a great job. Looked as good as new!

That's what folks might think, Liebel, if they haven't discovered the wonderful restorative powers of T-cut!

NB - I was bored, when responding to the OP - never take anything I say or do seriously when I'm bored :giggle:
