Here in Ireland, the 6 CD changer in the boot is a

I don't see why it would not recognise 10 disks myself.

The other thing you could do is get a VW phatbox which is an MP3 player and uses the same connector as the cd changer.

The reason it will only recognise the first 6 is because there are 6 direct access buttons on the head unit. The rest will have to be accessed through next disc option.
