Featured Replies

my stereo no longer receives a decent signal. i have fitted one of those little amplifier thingys, which worked for a while, but has now gone back to how it was before. can i fit one of these, AND an amplifier, or is it a no go.

Cheers guys.

The problem is probably with the amplifier built into the base of the existing aerial.

Actually do you still have the original head unit?

Your inline amp has probably died

The one at the back of my H/U has died ( after 4-ish yrs - at least they're cheap )

I suspect removing the old amp'ed aerial and replacing with a that non-amped aerial (+ maybe another inline amp) might get better signal

I have two Pioneer DEH-P700BT H/U's - the one connected to a simple aerial (no amp) gets twice the signal strength compared to the Octavia when amp was working.

Now its died you can only use the radio stationairy

If you do try, and it works, let us know - might give it a go myself
