One fog on when main lights switched on!

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I've just purchased a 2010 Yeti experience and just noticed that one of the fogs is coming on and staying on when I turn on the main lights. I tested all the lights this evening and they were all working as they should, cornering lights, indos, other fog etc. can anyone shed any light on this for me. Wiring issue maybe?

Thanks,

Tommy

Do you have the cornering fogs enabled on your car? If so it doesn't need much of a steering angle to illuminate that fog light.

Or you saying that only one of the fog light is working when the wheels are in a straight ahead position?

I assume the steering wheel was not straight ahead at the time?

Sounds like the cornering fog light is on.

The Experience is the top spec non UK version so I'm sure it will have cornering fogs fitted. As mentioned above, the car is probably parked with the wheels at an angle, which will switch on the fog light on the side where the wheels are pointing.

Try turning the steering wheel in the opposite direction and the other fog will turn on.

also turn the steering wheel so that it is straight and put on either indicator with the main lights on. The fog light will come on, on the side with the indicator.

As mentioned above the Experience comes with cornering foglights so try the solutions mentioned.

I challenge anyone not to shout at their screen "straighten the bloody wheels!"
