my new superb vibrates considerabely when i turn on the AC to an extent that it kinda irritates my foot when its lying on the pedal. The whole pedal vibrates when the car is at rest but when i start moving again the vibration fades away to a very faint buzz. is this normal ?

I've had my Superb for a year now, and I have never experienced any extra noise/vibration from the A/C. If yours is still under warranty, i would recommend you get it checked out as soon as possible.
