Featured Replies

after realising my tyres are getting low on my octy mk1 vrs (04 plate) ,i hate buying stuff without upgrading!!!! so ive spotted some 8x19" wheels 5x100 et 35 so im thinking of buying these ,but whats the best size tyre to fit??215/35/19 for a stretch!! or 225/35/19 or 235/35/19?? i will be fitting some lowering springs soon -35mm not to drastic ,but wondering if this combo will work and not catch the arches!!?? been there before and getting to old/lazy now for the hassle! ;-) also this is the wifes daily drive ,i drive it weekends but shes not keen on my improvements already lol. so making the tyres rub wont impress her,any advice appreciated .

Well tbh i think your gona buff on the rear with a few ppl in the back, as i'am on rs'8s, they are 225/40/18 et 35 8j, i think if i was on 215 it wouldent be an issue, just the offset sticks out much more than spiders on a 7j rim on et 38, so go with 215's but look a little more into it

Maybe get some eibach rear camber shims to tuck the top in?

might look into the camber shims!!! love the look of 19s i fitted some 10x19s to a beemer 5 series i had with 275 35 19 tyres after fitting and having a "spirited" drive the rear arches rolled themselves :giggle: . think the 215 tyres will be best? although may struggle to seal the beads on the rims!

When I had my 19's on I ran a 225 and it caught all the time, even more so with a family load.

I am running pretty low but a 215 tyre would have solved my problems :)
