12V power socket failure

Featured Replies

The 12v socket in the boot works fine. However the one next to the handbrake lever has stopped working.

I can only find one related fuse which is OK.

Annoyingly we only noticed when driving home from the dealers after the yetis first service.

Their "Young Lad" had washed and hoovered it out for us.Could he have blown an inline fuse or something if he'd used the front socket?

Any hints gratefully received before I have to take it back to the dealers.

If you have a test meter, see whether there is voltage across the contacts inside the socket.

If there is, look and see whether the contacts have been bent apart a little. If so, bend them back carefully.
