Featured Replies

Hi, I want to Sound deaden the octy.

few questions...

How many sq ft would I need for the car including doors?

Which parts should I actually deaden?

Don't want the pricey stuff, so what is the best alternative?

Regards,

Damian.

Just been reading through...

I want to deaden to improve speaker quality and reduce the rattles. Because I have my sub physically attached to the chassis of the car it sends a lot of vibration through the car, which is causing rattles through the doors cards and what not. So I thought that if I layer all the floor, boot and doors it will reduce the rattles and improve the sound.

So where do I want to actually wrap? Because reading through some people just say key places like the boot and door cards.. or do I do the floors as well

Have you looked at Rob Clubleys webpage, I remember reading about his sound deadening.

it depends on what you can afford. If you can afford it do everything if not then key areas like doors, boot etc. Remember that when you do the doors you need to do inner and outer skins

I personaly wouldnt use the generic answer which is dynomat. Much superior is slient coat imo

There is no "cheap" alternative, its all expensive, just at different levels of expensive lol
