No doubt someone on heres car.

Looks v tidy; not sure if 8k is cheap for an 07 plate car with 55k on the clock but definitely worth paying some premium for something that has clearly been looked after.

Some things to note:-

The PD TDi 170s can suffer injector failures; can cause the engine to stop dead at speed and is very dangerous; so much so that VOSA got involved and VAG issued a recall on ALL PD 170 engined cars. Therefore Id ensure the injector recall has been carried out; owner should know. Should be a sticker in the spare wheel well if done.

Also these engines are renowned for DPF issues; the PD injection system wasnt as compatible with DPF technology as VAG had hoped so they can get blocked if you dont drive it on long enough runs for it to warm up....not a problem with CR cars so much as they dont typically produce so much soot.

If it were me...not to put you off but I would probably look for a later pre facelift with the CR engine (think they came in late 07/early 08. Also the later cars benefit from some standard spec improvements; two zone climate, cruise and elec rear wins.

For that money I'd want a later one with the centre armrest / AUX-in, rear electric windows, Climatronic and 18" alloys.

It has Maxidot though which is a bonus.

Good advice above, make sure it has had the injector recall carried out.
