Torque app question

Featured Replies

Does any one know if you can use the torque app without Bluetooth?

I have a little android tablet but it doesn't have Bluetooth. It does have a USB socket though

Any info will be great

Thanks

bluetooth dongle ?

Ah could work. I'll have a little look into that :)

According to the settings menu, it supports Bluetooth or a wired (USB) OBD-II adapter. I've only ever used it with a Bluetooth adapter though, so can't comment on whether it actually works with USB :D

I have just ordered the bluetooth interface thingy for the car. Car popped up another CEL last night. Was undecided if i should get a code reader or just the dongle.

Decided with the dongle as I have a few tablets/phones around the house and torque looks like a ok app. would of went with vcds and a cheap cable but no laptop.

For the price of the dongle, plus the app, I think it's a no-brainer - the app is much more powerful, portable and user friendly than the code readers at the same end of the market. :D

Plus everyone pretty much has their phone with them all the time. Mine has come in handy a couple of times.

Cleared a friends engine light on her Mondeo 2.2 TDCI and the same again on a Vauxhall Zafira 1.8.

Plus you can have all the cool guages on display if you have your phone in a mount on the dash.
