Hi fellow Skododians - Octy II, BT question.

Featured Replies

Hi all, for the last year have been working for major car rental company, driving mostly Skoda's. Grown to really like and appreciate them, have recommended them to a few friends and relatives at car change-over time. So when my Saab 9-3 Tid came up for replacement I decided to put my money where my mouth is and buy one. So I am now about to take delivery of a Octavia II 1.4 Tsi SE (my2010).

I would like to add bluetooth and the jumbo box to to the car (car allready has Bolero head unit) jumbo box is just a case of waiting for one to come up, breakers or ebay. But the bluetooth, can any body tell me what module number is needed for my age car. (current phone is HTC Desire S)

Thanks in advance

Hi and welcome aboard.

Welcome to the site.

Loads of threads about fitting BT units. Check out the Octy sections, should be info there. I got my unit and I know others have as well (for a Fabia 2 though) from http://www.carsystems.pl/

They were a bit slow to respond to emails but they will say what unit is best.

Car Systems pl or Skodateile are both recommended suppliers. I've used both with no issues at all.

There's also threads in the Superb section about BT compatibility with phones. Worth looking around and reading a few.

Without wishing to confuse you, there is a list of modules and functions on the Ross Tech Wiki. It might help ensure you get the 'right' one.

Thanks guys, will follow up those recommendations. Picking car up on Monday, looking forward to getting to know it. Will be a regular visitor to this excellent site - hopefully for positive reasons.
