Shark re-map done. What next?

Featured Replies

First post on this forum so would appreciate some advice - been lurking for some time previous hence the Shark stage 1 re-map on my 2010 vRs DSG. Superb!!

Extra speed = extra stopping power. Need some recommendations around what pads to go for? Do I uprate discs as well - only consider like for like size replacement (don't want bigger discs and bigger calipers etc). Only use the car for road use but would like the confidence extra stopping power brings.

I found my standard brakes adequate although I had aftermarket springs and dampers too so this may have helped.

Welcome to the forum.

Although some don't agree with the lack of regs compliance, personally I like ferrodos DS2500 pads in conjunction with some ATE super Blue fluid in terms of cost and performance. These used with 312mm disks give equal performance when cold and just get better and better with additional heat. :-)

does the ATE fluid really make much difference? the OEM fluid is used in R8's for example!
