Anyone know how these work, as am getting an error on vcds which suggests its a wiring fault but have checked that. Wondering how to test the sensor itself.

It's a 3 pin setup, switched live, ground and signal. Does the sensor divert a voltage down the signal wire on detecting noxious air?? As if so I can eliminate the wiring by connecting live to signal.

Pretty sure they weren't fitted with one and it's a coding issue.

In my case I did fit one, but I fitted it incorrectly, mixing up the positive and negative pins on the climatronic switch panel.  I reversed the pins and wires and all was fine.
